Our Community

Our Worship
We worship on Sunday mornings at 8:30 (said service from the Book of Common Prayer) and 10:30 (sung choral eucharist with programming for children and youth).

Our Priest
The Rev. Benjamin Gillard
Father Benjamin joined St Thomas’ Brooklin in September 2021. He previously served as Assistant Curate to the parishes of St. John’s Norway and St. Monica’s in the Beaches neighborhood in east Toronto. He was ordained a deacon in 2019 and a priest in 2020.
Benjamin grew up in the Diocese of Huron. Prior to ordination, he served as the Lay Pastoral Associate at the Church of the Incarnation in North Toronto, as well as the summer Lay Incumbent of Saint Christopher’s McGregor Bay in the Diocese of Algoma. He completed field placements at the churches of Saint Magdalene and The Redeemer. Benjamin studied political science at the University of Toronto from 2010-2014, during which he was active in student leadership and served as President of the Association for Political Science Students. After working in finance, he returned to Trinity College to study theology. He was elected as a Junior Fellow of Massey College where he served as the Don of Hall in 2017-2018.
He is passionate about bringing to life the Good News and nurturing Christian discipleship through small group learning, spiritual formation, and outreach ministries that bridge with the local community. Fr. Benjamin is excited to be working with the leadership team at St. Thomas’ to discern what God has in store for the parish!
